Chris has over twenty years’ multi-national experience as a business leader, entrepreneur and trusted adviser in publicly traded, private partnership and family-owned businesses with Revenues between $1m and $16bn.
He has built and led diverse teams to turn-around, scale and accelerate the profitability and equity value of organizations in the Americas, Europe and AsiaPac.
He has particular expertise in evaluating, advising, acquiring and selling professional services firms focused on Management Consulting, Strategic Change, Talent Acquisition and Human Capital Consulting.
Chris uses his “walked in those shoes” experience to work on growth strategies with firm owners and leaders, focused on building near and long-term value in their business.
He has taken the lead in the acquisition of multiple professional services firms across the globe, giving him a depth of insight into the factors that are critical to strategic and financial buyers in assessing value and risk.
In addition, years spent identifying top talent, as a business leader and Search executive, have honed his ability to assist firm owners and leaders assess their own leadership and talent needs, and directly support the identification and attraction of key talent required to grow the business.
In his work for Catapult Growth Partners, Chris draws on the insights and intelligence of an extensive global business network developed over three decades through relationships built on trust and mutual respect.
Chris’s career experience has been multi-sector and multi-function, providing him a breadth of perspective that is extremely valuable in his current role.
His early career was spent primarily in Europe in the Aerospace sector with the predecessor to BAe Systems. Having moved to Australia, he headed Westpac’s Human Resources functions through a significant turn-around, before migrating into the Management and Human Capital Consulting sector which led to his further re-location to the States as EVP and World-Wide Managing Director of Right Management’s Organizational Consulting business, culminating with successful sale of the firm to Manpower. As Global COO of Baker & McKenzie, Chris worked directly with the Chairman and firm Executive Committee, before entering the world of Executive Search and Leadership Consulting with Heidrick & Struggles.
He joined Catapult Growth Partners in January 2016, working closely with the founder to help grow the business by extending the reach of the firm’s existing, significant advisory capability across the professional services sector.
Chris has a BSc(Hons) degree from the University of Wales – UK – is qualified as a lawyer there, and has undertaken executive education at AGSM, INSEAD. IMD, LBS and Kellogg.
