Tom Lang has worked with hundreds of closely-held businesses and owners for over 30 years in public accounting, management consulting and governmental auditing. He has more recently worked on over 25 business succession planning cases with the objective of planning for and achieving the transfer of businesses to key employee or outside parties.
Tom earned an MBA from the University of Denver, a BA from Michigan State University and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1981. He worked for the USDA as a compliance auditor for a year and a half; two CPA firms for five years; before starting his own CPA firm in 1985.
Tom managed Lang & Company, CPAs for 25 years before transferring ownership in 2010. Tom has taught accounting at the Regis University in their College for Professional Studies and volunteered with the Service Core of Retired Executives as a certified business advisor. He is a member of the Colorado Association of Business Intermediaries and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
